This workshop teaches fast, reliable dipping techniques used in production pottery. You’ll learn how to prepare glazes for consistent dipping, measure and adjust specific gravity, and control viscosity/flow for repeatable results. The workshop also covers efficient hot wax techniques and quick, effective ways to wipe and clean the foot, helping you speed up your glazing process without sacrificing quality. We’ll cover glazing tools, tongs and techques for both big and small works.
Techniques apply to boht functional and scultputral works.
Each participant will take home a Ford cup and a 100ml measuring cylinder to continue accurate testing and streamlined workflows.
